Barad Sar, a high altitude glacial lake is the holiest site for people living in the Tons Valley. The lake is considered an avatar of the Hindu god Vishnu. Almost every adult from our region makes a regular pilgrimage to this lake in summer and autumn to offer their prayers at the lake!
The water from the lake feeds one of the major tributaries of the River Tons, River Rupin.
