The mountains are not flaming red anymore! The Amaranth crop in Kalap village for 2014 has been harvested.

The choulai (amaranth) has been harvested and the grain will be stored for consumption over the winter. Amaranth flour is used to make rotis (bread) and the grain is used to make ladoos (a sweet dish, where the grain is rolled into balls with jaggery and ghee).
